Madge Sewell-Lazarus,  born in Jamaica, West Indies and became a naturalized United States citizen. She started her career as a classroom teacher becoming a specialist in vocational education. Later Madge branched out into Fashion Design and Apparel Engineering.

At one point, she was Fashion writer for the Jamaica Observer newspaper. Madge is an author, poet, inspirational speaker and she has also hosted an online talk show . Her life’s work is sharing her insights of personal growth through spirituality, with fellow seekers of spiritual truths and enlightenment.

Madge is  considered a deep and spiritual thinker with a great concern for humanity. Some see her as a person to confide in and to share their cares and deep concerns. She believes that it is of crucial importance for each individual to find the pathway to their souls and from there, live lives of abundance and joy. Her first  publication "A Smorgasbord of Poetry",  is reflective of the depth, richness and character of the author. This chapter in her career, has taken her from a fashion writer to an author and poet. She has travelled to several countries and observed various cultural patterns .Her many years working in the New York social services has given her insights in understanding human thought processes.

Her other publication is titled: Life’s Journey:12 Steps to Inspire Personal Power.  This book has an accompanying companion Journal: Life’s Journey Journal. 

Her book about the journey of life gives a 12 step plan, towards ones spiritual awakening. It is focus on the spiritual truths that transcends religion, color, class and creed. A spiritual "how to book," with its companion Journal, outlining in simple terms, how to live ones life with purpose and   passion. The book demonstrates that life is meant to be a spiritual   journey for mankind, as each seeks to individually and collectively make the   shift to higher consciousness.

Madge is a life   coach and also a gifted HANDWRITING ANALYST. Madge   participates actively in fundraising efforts for needy children and adults in   the Caribbean through Love and Hope charity.
